Spirit lead me
The gospel is dangerous and wild. It is alive and will not be tamed. It is a scalding iron. It is open heart surgery. It is death and suffering. It is not just what the Gospel IS that makes it incredible and beautiful. It's what the Gospel DOES that showcases it's terrible beauty. It is not just what the Gospel IS that makes it incredible and beautiful. It's what the Gospel DOES that showcases it's terrible beauty.
It is not packable or presentable. It can no more be contained that the God of whom it extols. It is unexplainable and undefined according to human understanding. Yet, we are called into the whole world to spread it. And make no mistake there is enough of it to go around the whole of the world and still have enough to span eternity. The Gospel is not programmable or a plan to be followed. It cannot be formulated or calculated. It is order and chaos mingled in such a way that each time you interact with it it is brand new. The path leading to the Gospel is narrow and difficult to find, but the Gospel itself is deeper than the deepest ocean and wider than all imagining. It is all consuming and confining. The Gospel is a battle-ready sword dividing it's possessor and a lion ready to separate the weak from the strong. The Gospel is also a soothing balm of grace and mercy to bind up the broken and torn. It is the healing hope that never fails. It is the spotless lamb and a tiny infant child. It is the Christ. It is the hope of man. It is the Light that dispels all darkness. It is God's love on display to the far reaching galaxies. It is the Glory of Heaven and the Amen of the angels. The Gospel is conviction and Salvation, the charge and the call. The beginning and the end. It is our everything. It is Jesus.
